Vasudha: Dev’s Absence Raises Unusual Questions in the Chauhan Family

Chandrika gets angry with Vasudha. She talks to Prabhat about Dev. She misses Dev dearly. She wishes Dev would return home soon. However, she knows that Dev can only come home if he leaves Vasudha behind. She doesn’t want to accept Vasudha in her family. She shocks Prabhat with her words. She says Vasudha is like dirt that must be cleaned before entering the house. Prabhat asks Chandrika to forgive and keep the family together, but she does not listen to him. She worries about Prabhat’s health and doesn’t want to discuss the matter further. She keeps him away from stress. She feels Vasudha is not good enough for her son.

Meanwhile, Dev is working hard doing deliveries when a businessman, Mr. Kumar, notices him. Mr. Kumar likes Dev’s smart ideas and gives him a new job. Dev feels very happy because his life is finally changing for the better. He rushes home to give the good news to Vasudha. He has struggled a lot after leaving the Chauhan family. He wishes to give a comfortable life to Vasudha. Back at the Chauhan house, Chandrika starts cooking many special dishes at home. She says Dev and Vasudha are coming only as guests, not as family members. Divya is hurt seeing Chandrika’s annoyance with Vasudha. Dev tells Vasudha about his new job. He gives her a gift, saying he just wants to see her smile. Avinash comes with sweets. He tells Dev that Chandrika has invited him for dinner.

Dev feels hopeful and thinks maybe Chandrika will accept him again. But Vasudha feels scared and hurt. She remembers being insulted and thrown out. She tells Dev she cannot go to the Chauhan house. She further says he can go alone if he wants. Dev gets upset and says Vasudha has changed a lot. He feels confused seeing her behavior. Vasudha stays quiet and does not stop him. At Chandrika’s house, everyone waits for Dev. They feel excited that Dev and Vasudha will be joining them for dinner. Instead of Dev, flowers come with a note saying he is sick and cannot come.
